Executive director of ZebPay, India’s oldest and leading crypto exchange. Board member responsible for governance and employee stakeholder interests. CEO & Founder of G Fund, a Bitcoin- and Ethereum-focused hedge fund aimed at women investors, with a requirement to use part of the profits to help women & girls fighting poverty and violence to achieve financial freedom. G Fund grew out of a TEDx talk I gave in 2011 on the need for a new capitalism. I draw on 26 years as a futures, options, and crypto trader. I was also a market analyst and COO of a financial advisory in Chicago, writing for leading publications like Yahoo! Finance, CNBC, Bloomberg, and the Wall Street Journal. As the first CMO of ZebPay I helped relaunch in India in 2020 under new leadership. Hired and trained a new marketing team. Ran the first crypto ads on IPL cricket. Added one million new customers with minimal ad spend. I also oversaw HR and served as chief culture officer, helping to add over 150 new employees in under a year, entirely remotely. I mentor and coach startup founders and senior executives on leadership and communication. I appear regularly in the media and on panels and podcasts. I do teach people how to trade but I do not give recommendations or predictions. In the 90s and 2000s I taught writing, communication and nonviolent conflict resolution at the University of Florida, where I won teaching awards every year for a decade. I have a black belt in aikido, trained as a ninja, and have climbed Mt Fuji and Mt Kilimanjaro. I would love to meet people working to disrupt and improve capitalism as we know it, people working on beautiful tech, experts on workplace culture, and anyone in media and entertainment. I would especially like to meet women leaders. I was born in Tamil Nadu, grew up in the US, and returned to India in 2020 to help re-launch ZebPay.
