Abhishek is Entrepreneur during the day, Engineer at night. Abhishek is a Data Scientist with a total of 6 years of experience in various roles. He started his professional life as a freelance web developer, which transitioned into a design studio startup. He has done his post-graduation in Computational and Data Sciences from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, specialising in High-Performance Computing and Distributed Systems. He has work experience in various big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Giraph, and various distributed systems or Blockchain technologies like Ethereum and Libp2p. He founded a startup that aims to build data products for smart cities. For the past three years, he has been engaged with the smart cities mission initially as a fellow for building a DataSpace for smart cities to streamline their data management capabilities through data processing pipelines and creating data standards for urban mobility. Now he works with the Data and Management Unit as a Data Scientist to support various data initiatives in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and National Institute of Urban Affairs. He has also been working in the Wastewater Intelligence Network Program which aims to institutionalise Wastewater-based Epidemiology for healthcare surveillance and use of data for decision making in pandemic management. I am currently working on building foundational large language models for Indic languages .
