Lt Cdr Yogesh Bhavsar (Retd.) comes with a diversified and growing experience of more than two decades including last 15 years in areas of Vocational & Entrepreneurship Development Education, Alternate Livelihoods, Skill Development and Financial Inclusion. An alumni of various reputed institutes including University of Pune, Indian Naval Academy, IIM Calcutta and INSEAD Singapore; his professional journey turned him in to a Social Engineer from an Aeronautical Engineer. His 7 years stint with Armed Forces laid a strong foundation for his career. Presently he is heading GAME's State Entrepreneurship Mission in partnership with GoM. His earlier assignments include the Nation Building initiative of PanIIT Alumni dedicated to execute and scale sustainable income generating models for the underprivileged. He has been a pioneer team member of FINO (ICICI Bank) where he learned and practiced principles of Financial Inclusion, Microfinance which further helped him to contribute to National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) under MoRD. His job roles from Navy, Rural Banking, State Government, PanIIT Alumni Foundation & GAME have taken him to places across various developing states with very different challenges and adversities. This exposure has helped him to understand the ground realities about poverty and other critical burning issues like rural economies, health, education etc. The in-depth understanding of functioning of all stakeholders like Government, civil society organization, developmental agencies, industries and their combined efforts to address the larger societal issues like unemployment, poverty eradication have been his areas of interest. This helped him to become an expert in tackling the hurdles in program implementation and bring in solutions to make it scalable & sustainable. He is passionate about doing something meaningful for the underprivileged rural masses and believes that the biggest luck of your life is if your passion becomes your profession.
