I live by the maxim “Follow your curiosity, get focused on knowledge, don't succumb to trends, and show up every day. The rest falls in place.” Over the last two decades, I have led equity markets coverage, before moving on to senior roles in Corporate Strategy and Venture Capital investing. I have experience sourcing deals, structuring them, managing portfolios, fund-raising, and leading international teams. As Investment Director - Asia, I conceptualized and launched MDIF's new India micro-fund. Further, I lead the entire regional investment pipeline and portfolio across India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, and Nepal. I also represent MDIF as a Board Member in portfolio companies. During the course of my career, I have executed over US $ 200 million of deals across Social Media Platforms, Media/Media-tech, Voice-tech, Education Technology (EdTech), Social Commerce, Healthcare, & Consumer Goods. Earlier, I led Equity Research and financial markets coverage at CNBC & Bloomberg in India, before moving to a Corporate VC role at India’s largest media company, The Times Group. I received my MBA in Finance from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. While my focus remains consumer-led internet companies, I am a mentor to emerging companies across B2C segments, circular economy and grassroots education. Need insight or mentorship?
