Akshat is a independent filmmaker and writer, working his way up from being an assistant director on Mukkabaaz to being a creative assistant and associate editor on Manmarziyan (2018) and Lust Stories. He has also been a long time associate and creative collaborator of Anurag Kashyap. Akshat was also, the second unit director on Sacred Games (Season 2). He has also directed quite a few award winning shorts (fiction and documentary). His latest being TOKEN (produced by Ajay G. Rai and Anurag Kashyap). His Telugu feature film SINGHAM123, produced by Mohan Babu, made a huge commercial success in a conservative Telugu industry. Currently, he is engaged with productions house like Jar Pictures, Reliance, UV Creations and Geetha Arts in an independent capacity.
