Abhijith Jayanthi is a first generation entrepreneur with experience in Renewable Energy and Industrial Infrastructure. Having worked across India, Far & Middle East and African geographies, Abhijith brings his expertise in business diligence, strategy design, investment advisory and asset management. Amongst other roles, he served as a Consultant to World Bank where he handled technology related initiatives particularly focused on renewable energy sources - Solar Technologies, Rural Energy Access Initiatives; Abhijith served on Audit Committee of Wikimedia Foundation; Chief Executive Officer of Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Co-operative Credit Society (Government of Andhra Pradesh Undertaking); previously served as a Member of National Governing Councils for Solar Energy Society of India and Indian Association of Energy Management Professionals (Treasurer). Outside his business interests, Abhijith is passionate about youth empowerment and through his Non-Profit - OLIVE Foundation - enables livelihood opportunities for youth in vulnerable areas. Abhijith is / was also associated with various International Non-Profits/ bodies, such as TakingITGlobal, The Pixel Project, Wikimedia Foundation, UNFPA and Global Unification International. Abhijith holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering (Power) from IIT Delhi and a Bachelor degree in Economics and Management from University of London (LSE). He is a certified energy manager (BEE) and has diplomas/certificates in areas of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Graduate School of Business, Stanford University), Religion (Harvard University), Design and Innovation Policy in Developing Countries (UNU – MERIT), Public Relations & Advertising amongst others. During his free time, he enjoys travelling, exploring new places and has been to 83 Countries.
